STORM

I go out to play
Rain falls from the sky
And it pitter patters near my eye
Thunder strikes and I feel scared
I run, run inside

CHRISTMAS IN A BOX

If someone gave a box to you, you would feel so very touched.
So why not give, if you can, to kids who don’t have very much.

Grab a box, fill it up, a hundred fifty (thousand) isn’t tough.
Drop it off, come along, we’ll have a ball, soon enough!

So if you’re keen, keep it up, we’ll tell you more in just a bit.
Fill those boxes with all your heart, and they, for sure, will be a hit.

These kids are tough, they’ve seen a lot, they need love more than you’d believe,
So, as Jesus says in Acts 20:35, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive’.

August, 2010

Kenneth, Ying, Grandma and Megan were having breakfast in our hotel.  Megan had the food described in the first-line of the haiku; Ying had the second; Kenneth had this absolutely rich latte (third line) that we were convinced would give him cramps from lactose intolerance.
